Committed to Gaudí's Ideals
The Gaudí Movement is a citizen-led initiative that promotes a more humane, sustainable, and conscious future. Inspired by the visionary spirit of Antoni Gaudí, we work to strengthen the social, cultural, and spiritual fabric of our towns and cities.
We reconnect with essence. We regenerate our environment.
We re-imagine the future – together
Our Purpose
Rooted in the ideals of the great architect Antoni Gaudí, the Gaudí Movement is an emerging global initiative that responds to the urgent need for deeper reflection on today’s most vital social, cultural and spiritual challenges. It seeks to explore and reimagine key themes that are still too often left on the margins of public discourse. These include:
- Actively upholding the rights of peoples (national, cultural, and linguistic) and human rights (individual, collective, social and gender), as a foundation for world peace and brotherhood.
- Respect for the environment, to mitigate the consequences of climate change, which remain unpredictable.
- Business relations built on participatory management and a socially conscious approach, where everyone contributes ideas that generate high added value and ensure that workers are better recognised and fairly remunerated.
- In a world where population movements are constant, ensuring the availability of adequate tools and resources to facilitate the integration of new arrivals into host communities.
- The protection of the family as a cornerstone of society, where life is nurtured and fundamental human values are instilled, alongside education.
- Human relationships based on the pursuit of ideals, cooperation, community spirit, and a strong work ethic, as fundamental means of creating value and countering hedonism and self-interest.
- Deepening and sharing the message of the Gospel in a spirit of openness and renewal, from a committed, social perspective that uplifts and brings hope to all humanity.
- Strengthening the community roots of Christian churches and other religious traditions in every country. Universality must be based on the diversity that enriches it.
A living ideology
The ideology of the Gaudí Movement is inspired by the figure of Antoni Gaudí: a man of universal vision, deeply connected to his people, committed to nature, social justice, and peace. With values rooted in his Christian faith and a deep sense of service, Gaudí championed beauty as a path to transcendence and well-crafted work as an expression of love and shared responsibility. His life and work remind us that a different world is possible – more humane, more harmonious, more open.
Our organisational structure
See below for the Movements organisation chart.
The Gaudí Movement is structured around action domains. Activities will be carried out independently within each domain, with the participation of local chapters. The official Statutes of the Movement establish the following structure:
- The Assembly, made up of all its members (individuals and organisations) around the world
- Sponsors, organisations that provide financial support to the Movement
- The Comité d’Honneur, made up of notable public figures who support the Movement
- The Advisory Committee, made up of experienced individuals who offer guidance to the domains and local chapters based on their knowledge and expertise
- Vice presidencies, appointed based on the merits of active members of the movement across its various local chapters and domains
- Each local chapter and domain will have its own director and secretary
